Mudville unable to pull off a comeback in Game Seven.
Strikeouts… one side celebrates with overwhelming joy, while the other walks away unfulfilled. You hope to always be the first of that statement but will sometimes find yourself in the second camp. Even the best of players cannot always pull off miracles. This said, when the chips are down and the game is on the line, you want the best players to decide if the team wins or losses. Unfortunately, Casey was not able to get a hit off in the final inning of the championship series, game seven.
As any great player would, Casey is taking some time to reflect on the season and mull over his emotions regarding his last at-bat. It can be ensured, that Casey is a fighter and will never stop giving his all for the Mudville baseball team. To all the fans, Casey wants you to know that he understands these are emotional times and that you are all frustrated, the same way he is, but this will be an experience he learns from and improves upon. There is no stage bigger than the bottom of the ninth inning in Game 7 of the Championship Series, and Casey never wants to shy away from that, so he will continue to face these situations and try to make the right play.
Casey also wants to thank all of the fans for their immense support throughout this season. He does not believe that he and the whole Mudville team would have made it nearly this far if it weren’t for all the support and appreciation. Being so close to bring a championship to Mudville is tough, but at the same time shows how far Mudville baseball has come. The future looks bright, and Casey knows that this team can win it all.
Going into this offseason, you can rest assured that Casey and Mudville will be ready to get back to it for next season and bring joy to the whole town of Mudville by winning the Championship.
